my utopia: my friends

Our niece, Stephanie, has a special project in school called, " Searching for Utopia". They need to create a photo essay of images joined together in a page. A photo essay is a set or series of photographs that are intended to tell a story or evoke a series of emotions in the viewer. It can be sequential in nature, intended to be viewed in a particular order, or they may consist of non-ordered photographs which may be viewed all at once or in an order chosen by the viewer.

For Stephanie her utopia would be the people around her, the people that give's meaning to her world... her family, friends and herself. We first did a photo session around Concord with her friends.

It was a sunny Monday, all the girls were excited. They were all dressed up and had their make-up on.... all looking sweet and and pretty. We  first went to the Starbucks, where they spent some time playing cards while sipping their frappes. Then we went  to a park which is just across the coffee shop, where we did most of the photo session. We also had a couple of shots in school and at Stephanie's house (where the girls usually hang out).

"Friends are flowers that never fade"
“We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere.”

“A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.”

"Friendship doubles our joy and divides our grief."

“Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It's not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.”

“A friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself.”

“Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends we choose.”

“Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget.”

The girls were really funny, spending most of the time giggling and laughing... *flashback, making us miss our old friends too. It's true, friendship is a priceless treasure never to be bought or sold - it can only be cherished...=D
